The Rural Area Play Project

The Rural Area Play Project (RAPP) provides a mobile service in the school holidays to rural areas that do not have access to play schemes.
The RAPP van carries high quality, durable toys and equipment and provides indoor and outdoor activities aimed at 5-11 year olds including arts and crafts, basketball, ‘Come face to face with creepy crawlies’. It is free for 0-4’s and £4 per child per session for ages 5yrs+

RAPP is a low cost provision for parents and provides an opportunity for children in isolated rural villages to access a wide range of play and learning activities that are not usually accessible to them. The scheme is a valuable asset to small villages, allowing the children and their parents to come together and socialise, helping to develop a sense of community.

RAPP visits East Meon Village Hall during most school holidays.
